Jobless rate surges to 10.2 percent
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. jobless rate unexpectedly jumped to a 26-1/2-year high of 10.2 percent last month, adding to pressure on the Obama administration to do more to tackle unemployment even as signs of recovery mount.
Unexpectedly? Economists have been saying for months that we had not hit bottom yet. Why is the media not speaking to them? Why speak to the government for information on these issues, they apparently don't know. Instead of focusing on Health Care Reform, which will not add jobs, how about focusing on lowering taxes which will increase jobs; it's simple really, when people have more of the money that THEY have earned they will purchase more products, which in turn will bump up demand, which in turn will demand more production, which in turn will make business owner's hire more employees to make those products...yes, actually it is that simple, history shows us that. Instead we have men and women who absolutely know NOTHING about owning a business making decisions and increasing our taxes, BRILLIANT!

Be Careful
Think, the most important skill we can develop. Marketers are out to sell you things that you neither need nor want...in the long run, but it can only happen if you let it. Question everything.
I am currently reading "Packaging Girlhood" and my eyes have been opened to some things that I had not been able to explain before, in other words I questioned these things but never could put it into words, I don't know if that makes sense. Girls have been taught by TV, DVDs, Movies, Magazines, Media, etc. to be sexual and sensual or a tomboy, instead of encouraging individuality. I believe this has been an unintended consequence of feminizing our culture. Women and Men no longer see the importance of mothers raising their children and instead allow a stranger, who doesn't care about them (like a mother) raise them, with their values, not the Father's or Mother's. I say feminizing because that movement has told women that they need to be home with their children but "They can have it all," not so, our children have suffered.
